the not-so-great wall

My problems seemed so big,
To a perspective so small,
They seemed so big that I built up a wall;
Promises made they’d soon renege.

The problems faded
But the wall remained,
Waited for someone kind to invade,
But I learned that I must be the one to reclaim it.

      1. My genre is creative non-fiction. Personal essays, memoir writing. Not that this truth/lies would make you believe that lol. So it would be completely different. Two that I’ve entered I found out about from Discover here on WordPress. They highlight, at times, various literary magazines and contests.
